How to remove yourself from PeopleFinders

Last checked October 14, 2026

PeopleFinders publishes names, addresses, phone numbers and relatives to anyone who searches. You can ask it to take your listing down. Here's exactly how, as of October 14, 2026.

Opt-out page
peoplefinders.com/opt-out
You'll need
Profile URL, Email address
How long
Not published. Guides report two to seven days.
Can it come back?
Possible.

Step by step

  1. Search your name on peoplefinders.com, open your listing and copy its URL.
  2. On the opt-out page press Next, then paste the URL and your email.
  3. Confirm through the email link. Some guides describe a second form asking for details that match the listing.

Good to know

Then get it out of Google too

Opting out removes the listing from PeopleFinders, but Google can keep showing an old copy for a while. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask for those results to be dropped, and it can tell you when new ones appear.

How we checked this

The opt-out page loads, but the steps after the first screen come from current removal guides, so they are worded more loosely. We cross-checked them against several guides updated in 2026 and left out details they disagree on. If the form looks different when you get there, follow what the page says.
