Last checked October 14, 2026

FamilyTreeNow publishes names, addresses, phone numbers and relatives to anyone who searches. You can ask it to take your listing down. Here's exactly how, as of October 14, 2026.

Not published.
Can it come back?
Possible.

Step by step

  1. Enter your email on the opt-out page and pass the CAPTCHA.
  2. Search for your record and press the opt-out button on it.
  3. Click the link in the verification email. Some guides describe a second form after that link which asks for details to match against the listing.

Good to know

Then get it out of Google too

Opting out removes the listing from FamilyTreeNow, but Google can keep showing an old copy for a while. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask for those results to be dropped, and it can tell you when new ones appear.

How we checked this

familytreenow.com blocks visitors from outside the US, so we couldn't read its opt-out page directly. The steps above are cross-checked against several removal guides updated in 2026, and we've left out details they disagree on. If the form looks different when you get there, follow what the page says.
